What better way to start a blog than with a cooking event?
Yesterday was day one of the 3 day cooking festival in Beirut. Eager me dragged my mom and sister and set off to join in on the fun.
It has it all, from the traditional Lebanese delicacies, to international cuisine; including French, Japanese, and much more, wines, celebrity chefs and a huge range of equipment to shop for.
A selection of Lebanese homemade preserves.
Homemade chocolate in flavors that are just heavenly; from coffee flavored to stuffed with cranberries and almond, to candied oranges dipped in chocolate.
Chef Herve Gerard working on his Pate-a-choux
Chef Ero Glicerio of Yabani Restaurant demonstrating his Japanese dishes.
Tea tasting Master class
Bastrami and Halloum stuffed inside Baklava pastry with lots and lots of butter 😀 from Sofil group restaurants.
Kitchen equipment for sale.
All in all it was one delightful experience, I would’ve loved to stay for the whole day but I had classes so I missed some really fun events!
I got day 3 to go to still .. so let the fun continue 😀
